Bear McCreary has announced a new album called The Singularity: Ekleipsis, set to release on July 31. This album features an impressive lineup of guest artists, including Claudio Sanchez from Coheed and Cambria, Patrick Stump from Fall Out Boy, and Guns N’ Roses members Slash and Duff McKagan.
The Singularity: Ekleipsis is a follow-up to McCreary’s 2024 album, The Singularity, which included collaborations with Slash, Corey Taylor from Slipknot, and Serj Tankian from System of a Down. Other notable guests on the new album are Chad Smith from Red Hot Chili Peppers, Stewart Copeland from The Police, and Joe Duplantier from Gojira. Duplantier is also featured on the album’s first single, “Black Box,” which is available now.
McCreary expressed his excitement, saying, “I need more cinematic metal in my life! The Singularity: Ekleipsis builds upon the musical and narrative themes of my 2024 album, and this time around it rocks even harder.” Known for his work on projects like Battlestar Galactica, The Walking Dead, and The Lord of The Rings: The Rings of Power, McCreary continues to push the boundaries of music with this upcoming release.
