Yellowcard is celebrating another #1 single with their latest track “Bedroom Posters,” featuring Good Charlotte. The song has topped the Billboard Alternative Airplay chart, but frontman Ryan Key has mixed feelings about Los Angeles. In the song, he sings, “I love my sister, but I hate it in LA,” reflecting sentiments that longtime fans might recognize from the band’s 2006 album, *Lights and Sounds*.
Interestingly, right next to “Bedroom Posters” on their new album, *Better Days*, is a more positive take on LA called “City of Angels.” Key shared that while working on the album with producer Travis Barker, they were inspired by the 2025 LA wildfires. Barker suggested they write something that captures the city’s current vibe.
In “City of Angels,” Key expresses his complicated feelings about LA. He acknowledges the anxiety the city brings him but also recognizes its significance in his life. “As much as this city gives me anxiety, I have to recognize how special it is for me and so many others who came here to chase our dreams,” he said.
Yellowcard is set to kick off a U.S. tour this Wednesday in Atlanta, so fans can look forward to seeing them live soon!
