The Pretty Reckless has released a new song called “Dear God,” which is also the title track of their upcoming album. Frontwoman Taylor Momsen describes the song as “desperation set to music.” She explains that when life becomes overwhelming, you start to reach out for something greater to help you. Momsen emphasizes that the feeling of being caught between heaven and hell is very real.
The album, “Dear God,” is set to come out on June 26 and follows their 2021 release, “Death by Rock and Roll.” It will feature previously released tracks like “For I Am Death,” “When I Wake Up,” and “Love Me.”
In addition to the album, The Pretty Reckless will kick off a U.S. headlining tour in July and will also be opening for AC/DC at some shows.
