Bold 1957: Bold Elvis Presley scored his first UK No. 1 with “All Shook Up,” topping the singles chart for seven weeks and cementing his global star status.
Bold 1984: Bold Prince hit No. 1 in the US with “When Doves Cry,” part of Purple Rain and the year’s best-selling single, staying five weeks at the top.
Bold 1984: Bold Bruce Springsteen’s Born in the U.S.A. began a seven-week run at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, later selling over 30 million copies worldwide.
Bold 1985: Bold Duran Duran reached No. 1 on the Hot 100 with “A View To A Kill,” while Bold Phil Collins’ “Sussudio” climbed to No. 2.
