My Chemical Romance Signs Exclusive Worldwide Publishing Deal With Warner Chappell Music

My Chemical Romance has signed an exclusive worldwide administration deal with Warner Chappell Music. The companies announced it on Thursday, Oct. 15. It covers the band’s whole catalog and any future works.

Warner Chappell Music will run global rights administration, protect copyrights, and handle sync licensing for film, television, and video games. Four albums fall under the agreement: Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge, The Black Parade, Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys, and I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love.

The deal builds on a tie with Warner Records that began in 2003. The band also has a global merchandise partnership through Warner Music Group.

“My Chemical Romance is a generational force,” Robert Kyncl, CEO of Warner Music Group, said according to a news release from Warner Music Group. “We’re proud to expand our longtime partnership with this trailblazing band as they continue winning new fans around the world.”

“Few bands have left as deep an imprint on modern rock culture as My Chemical Romance,” Guy Moot, chair and CEO of Warner Chappell Music, added in a statement. “They have built an indelible catalog, and our entire team is excited to welcome them to Warner Chappell and champion their extraordinary songs.”

Greg Sowders, senior vice president of A&R at Warner Chappell Music, spoke, too. “Bringing My Chemical Romance’s publishing to Warner Music Group alongside their recorded music and merch feels like the ultimate homecoming,” he said.

Gerard Way, Ray Toro, and Mikey Way started the band in New Jersey. Shortly after Frank Iero joined. They split in 2013 but reunited in 2019.

Warner Chappell Music says the band has piled up tens of billions of global streams. Its songs include “Welcome to the Black Parade,” “Helena,” “Teenagers,” and “Famous Last Words.”

News of the deal lands in the middle of The Black Parade 2026 tour, which drew three sold-out nights at London’s Wembley Stadium in July.

Around those shows, the band’s albums climbed back onto the U.K. charts. Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys hit No. 1 on the Official Rock & Metal Albums chart, and Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge hit No. 2, per the news release. The Black Parade landed in the Top 10, as well.

The agreement doesn’t confirm a new album or a release date. Way did talk about another record during a September show in San Antonio. “We kinda always wanted to make another record, so we hope that life allows us to do that,” he said, according to Reckless Press.

The tour wraps up in October with five nights at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. Those dates mark the 20th anniversary of The Black Parade. A deluxe edition of the album arrives on Friday, Oct. 23.
