Sharon Osbourne Visits Ozzy Osbourne’s Grave Every day, Says She Is Learning to Live With Loss

Sharon Osbourne said she goes to the grave of her husband, Ozzy Osbourne, every day. She shared this in a new interview with the BBC.

Ozzy, the Black Sabbath singer, died July 22, 2025, at age 76. Officials listed cardiac arrest and acute myocardial infarction as the cause. The couple had been married for 43 years.

“You’ve lost the love of your life, so you don’t just wake up and go, ‘I’m fine now. I’m cured.’ You never get over it,” Sharon Osbourne told the BBC. “But you learn to live with it, and that’s what I’m trying to do. So you either sit in a room and don’t come out, or you accept it, befriend it and that’s it.”

Sharon Osbourne, 74, said she can see her husband’s grave from her window. She also talked about the night before he died.

“Ozzy had woken in the night and he asked me to kiss him twice, and I did,” she said. “And then he said, ‘Hold me, hold me tight,’ and I did.”

Sharon Osbourne said she fell asleep after that. “And then the next thing I know, it’s early in the morning, and someone comes rushing into the room saying, ‘Come down now’. I ran down, and that was it,” she said.

Ozzy Osbourne played his last live show July 5, 2025, at the Back to the Beginning concert at Villa Park in Birmingham. The 10-hour show drew 44,000 fans. Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, Steven Tyler, and others took the stage too. He sat on a black throne for his whole set and played “Crazy Train” and “Mama I’m Coming Home.” He died a little over two weeks later.

Sharon Osbourne said her husband read reviews of the show online after it ended. “He was just so, so happy,” she said. “He was online, going through the reviews and saying, ‘There’s something terribly wrong’, and I’m like, ‘Why?’. He goes, ‘I didn’t get slagged by anybody. Why are people being nice to me?’ And I’m like, ‘Because they like you’.”

Ozzy Osbourne shared a Parkinson’s disease diagnosis in 2020. By early 2025, he could no longer walk.
