Queens of the Stone Age will play 16 U.S. shows in May 2027. Pixies and Wheelchair Sports Camp will open each night. The tour starts May 1 at Viejas Arena in San Diego and ends May 24 at TD Garden in Boston.
Stops include Kia Forum in Inglewood, California, Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, Delta Center in Salt Lake City, and Little Caesars Arena in Detroit. Two shows will take place outdoors. One is at Red Rocks in Morrison, Colorado, on May 12, and the other is at American Family Insurance Amphitheater in Milwaukee on May 15.
The band is touring behind its new album Perfecth, out Oct. 30 on Matador Records. Josh Homme and Michael Shuman produced the nine songs. They recorded in many places, from New Orleans to Los Angeles.
“Every song sounds like it’s from a different world,” said Josh Homme in a press release published by Urban Milwaukee. “And that’s on purpose, because it’s trying to stitch together all these emotions revolving around love, lust, foolishness, and the sort of wisdom that comes as a gift from all that.”
Troy Van Leeuwen plays guitar, Michael Shuman plays bass, Dean Fertita handles keyboards, and Jon Theodore plays drums.
The band recently played “Where the Goth Girls At?” live on NBC’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Two more songs are already out: “Insignificant Other” and “Easy Street,” which features Nikki Lane.
The U.S. dates follow shows already booked in Iceland, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, Australia, and New Zealand. In March, the band plays Lollapalooza in Argentina, Chile, and Brazil. A Mexico City show with Interpol is set for March 6. The Iceland show on Oct. 24 sold out. Expect more headline shows to be announced in the coming weeks.
