The Rolling Stones have surprised fans with another taste of their latest project, releasing the upbeat new single “Who You Callin’ Crazy.” The track gives the legendary rock band another chance to stretch beyond straight-ahead blues-rock while bringing in acclaimed jazz saxophonist Courtney Pine for a standout performance.
The song comes from Foreign Tongues, Loose Lips, an expanded edition of the Stones’ 2026 studio album Foreign Tongues. The deluxe collection will feature five recordings from the sessions surrounding the original album.
The Rolling Stones Bring Courtney Pine Into the Mix
“Who You Callin’ Crazy” immediately stands apart thanks to Pine’s saxophone work. The jazz veteran adds a lively, soulful edge to the track, giving the Stones’ familiar groove a looser and more playful feel.
Mick Jagger handles vocals and electric guitar, while Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood provide the guitars. Jagger and Richards wrote the song, with Watt producing it.
The collaboration also highlights the Stones’ willingness to keep experimenting. Rather than simply recreate the formula that made them famous, the band uses the additional Foreign Tongues recordings to explore different textures and arrangements.
Five More Songs From the ‘Foreign Tongues’ Sessions
“Who You Callin’ Crazy” is one of five recordings featured on Foreign Tongues, Loose Lips. The collection will also include “Where There’s A Will,” which features Steve Winwood on organ, along with “Human Tide,” “Bad Luck Hideaway” and “She Still Comes Around.”
“Bad Luck Hideaway” already has some history with Stones fans. The song previously appeared as a bonus track on the iTunes edition of Foreign Tongues and later surfaced as the B-side to the band’s recent “Mr. Charm” single. It also features drums from the late Charlie Watts.
The Stones Keep the ‘Foreign Tongues’ Era Rolling
Released in July 2026, Foreign Tongues marked another major chapter in the Rolling Stones’ remarkably long recording career. The album followed 2023’s Grammy Award-winning Hackney Diamonds and continued the band’s late-career resurgence.
For a band that has spent more than 60 years proving people wrong about how long rock ‘n’ roll can last, “Who You Callin’ Crazy” feels like an appropriately cheeky title. The Rolling Stones aren’t slowing down.
Foreign Tongues, Loose Lips arrives November 27 on vinyl, 2CD and digital formats.
