GALLERY: Remembering Brian Jones

Brian Jones, the founder of The Rolling Stones, died 52 years ago today (July 3.)

A talented multi-instrumentalist and lover of the blues, Jones founded the band in 1962, and it was his passion for blues music that initially shaped the Stones’ sound. However, as the band gained more and more popularity, Jones’ issues with drugs and alcohol escalated and tragically passed away at the age of 27.

In honor of his life, scroll through the classic images of Jones and the Stones below.
