Corey Taylor performed an outstanding cover of Nine Inch Nails’ “Something I Can Never Have” during a show in Springfield, Mo. on August 16 while donning Paul Stanley’s KISS makeup.
The show was originally supposed to feature an opening performance from Cherry Bombs, the dance troupe of Taylor’s wife, Alicia Dove, but they couldn’t perform due to issues with the venue. Instead, Taylor and his band performed a longer than usual set in full KISS makeup.
Last night we had to pull off a special show in Springfield, MO, because our @cherrybombsrock couldn’t perform. If you have a ticket stub, digital copy or printed ticket from last night, it gets you into tonight’s show for free. So come see us all get crazy! Take care out there! pic.twitter.com/1zEH0QO6NH

Taylor introed his NIN cover by telling the crowd, “I am going to desperately try and remember the words, which shouldn’t be too hard. It’s one of my favorite songs by a band called Nine Inch Nails. I actually haven’t played this song live in probably about ten years. So, I’m going to do my best to give you a special rendition of this.”
Taylor wraps up his solo tour tonight (August 19) in Denver. He’ll have about two weeks off before heading out with Slipknot for their upcoming tour, which kicks off with a set at Rocklahoma on September 3. A full list of upcoming Slipknot tour dates can be found at Slipknot1.com.
