Winery weddings are on the rise in Chester County, Pennsylvania. Many vineyards are now offering their spaces for wedding proposals, rehearsal dinners, and celebrations. Notable wineries in the area include Va La Vineyards in Avondale and Kreutz Creek Vineyards in West Grove, which became Acadian Wine Company in 2022.
The Inn at Grace Winery in Glen Mills has also expanded its event facilities to meet the growing demand from couples. Events manager Alie Goodwin mentioned, “We try to keep the number of weddings to around 20 a year. Weddings have become so popular that we decided to add a second barn for accommodations so we wouldn’t interfere with having our wine tastings.”
Wedding planner Heidi Kern, who works with many Brandywine Valley vineyards, said, “Winery weddings are an up-and-coming thing. They provide a really fun vibe and a more friendly setting — and we can use local wines and beers for these events.”
The wedding services industry, including wineries and vineyard venues, is expected to reach a global value of about $95 billion by 2030. The appeal of winery weddings lies in their beautiful settings, local craftsmanship, and the intimate feel of family-run venues. As more couples seek unique and memorable experiences, winery weddings are becoming a popular choice.
