Two of the most popular rock bands around, Coheed and Cambria and heavy rock titans Mastodon have joined together on an epic cross-country tour during the summer of 2019,  calling it “The Unheavenly Skye Tour” and they made a stop in Camden, NJ on June 8 2019 at the BB&T Pavilion.

Hardcore band Every Time I Die got the crowd warmed up and will open all the shows on this tour.

Coheed and Cambria performed in support of their latest album, 2018’s The Unheavenly Creatures which debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Hard Rock Albums chart, as well as the Top 15 on the Billboard 200 chart. Boasting 15 songs over 78 minutes, the album marked Coheed and Cambria’s return to concept albums.

Mastodon who are celebrating the 10th-anniversary of their 2009 breakthrough album Crack The Syke performed the LP in its entirety.

“Back in the summer of 2008 when we finished recording our 5th full length album Crack the Skye, we felt like we had created something very special,” shared Brann Dailor. “That is why, to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of one of our proudest moments, we decided to take it out on tour and play it start to finish along with some other golden oldies of course. We can’t wait to see all of you on tour so we can celebrate Crack the Skye’s birthday together!!”

 

Mastodon is considered one of the most respected and influential bands of their generation.  Emperor Of Sand, their current studio album marks their fourth consecutive album to enter the Billboard Top 200 Album charts in the Top Ten.

Recently, drummer Brann Dailor, guitarist Brent Hinds, and guitarist Bill Kelliher appeared as wildlings in two episodes of HBO’s Game of Thrones and also contributed a shong to the soundtrack.
