Alt-J frontman Joe Newman has dropped a new song titled “Track and Field” under his solo project, JJerome87. Newman describes the track as capturing the vibe of an early ’90s American montage, focusing on two college students falling in love on a college athletics track.
The music video for “Track and Field” is now available for streaming on YouTube. This song will be featured on Newman’s debut album as JJerome87, called The Canyon. The album was initially released exclusively on his website but will be available to everyone on June 26.
Alt-J’s last album, The Dream, came out in 2022. Fans can look forward to more music from Newman as he continues to explore his solo career.
