​Phil Collins, Iron Maiden, Billy Idol, and Oasis are among the 2026 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees.  

Phil Collins, Iron Maiden, Billy Idol, and Oasis are set to join the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2026. The announcement was made during a special episode of American Idol focused on the Hall of Fame. Other inductees this year include new wave legends Joy Division/New Order, British soul group Sade, the late R&B star Luther Vandross, and the iconic rap group Wu-Tang Clan.

This marks Collins’ second induction; he was first honored in 2010 as a member of Genesis. Billy Idol is being inducted on his second nomination, having been nominated last year. Iron Maiden and Oasis are also being recognized after their third nominations.

John Sykes, chairman of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, expressed excitement about the upcoming ceremony, stating, “Induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is music’s highest honor. We look forward to celebrating these remarkable artists at this year’s ceremony – it’s going to be an unforgettable night.”

This year’s Early Influence award recipients include the late country-rock star Gram Parsons, rappers Queen Latifah and MC Lyte, the late Cuban singer Celia Cruz, and Afrobeat pioneer Fela Kuti. The Musical Excellence inductees are producers Linda Creed, Arif Mardin, Jimmy Miller, and Rick Rubin, while the late Ed Sullivan will receive the Ahmet Ertegun Award.

Notable nominees who did not make it this year include The Black Crowes, INXS, Mariah Carey, Pink, New Edition, Melissa Etheridge, Lauryn Hill, Shakira, and the late Jeff Buckley. The induction ceremony will take place on November 14 at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles and will be broadcast in December.
