Pierce The Veil Kick Off ‘Hot Topic Live’ Series in Hollywood Store Studio

Hot Topic has launched Hot Topic Live, a music series shot in a custom-built studio at its flagship store in Hollywood, California. Pierce The Veil was the first band on stage. The full session sits on the retailer’s official video channel, and clips keep popping up on its social media pages.

Pierce The Veil played three songs: “So Far, So Fake,” “Bulls In The Bronx,” and “Pass The Nirvana.” The set ran about 12 minutes. The studio copies the look of a Hot Topic store. A wall of band T-shirts stands where a concert stage would normally be.

“We’re excited to kick things off as the first band to perform for Hot Topic Live,” Pierce The Veil frontman Vic Fuentes said in an exclusive statement to Billboard. “Our band has grown up with Hot Topic since the very beginning, so it’s really cool to see them create a new space for alternative artists like us to bring our songs to life for the fans.”

The series will bring in both established and up-and-coming artists from many genres. Each session centers on original songs. Artists may also join in extra content made for social media.

Pierce The Veil is a San Diego rock band that started in 2006. Its sound mixes post-hardcore with alternative rock. Its 2023 album, The Jaws of Life, debuted at No. 14 on the Billboard 200.

The band released the single “Kiss Me Now” after that album. Hot Topic is expected to name more artists for the series soon.

Pierce The Veil will play Corona Capital in Mexico City on Nov. 21. Their schedule also includes a show at Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena, California, on June 5, 2027. All their tour dates are listed here.
