System of a Down are bringing their explosive live show to one of California’s most iconic venues. The Grammy-winning rockers have announced their first-ever performance at Pasadena’s Rose Bowl Stadium on June 5, 2027, with Pierce the Veil joining them as special guests.
The concert will be System of a Down’s only announced North American performance in 2027, making it a major date for fans hoping to see the band live next year. Live Nation and 30e will promote the show.
System of a Down Set for First-Ever Rose Bowl Performance
The upcoming concert marks a new milestone in System of a Down’s live career. Although the California-formed band have played major venues around the world, they have never performed at the Rose Bowl Stadium before.
The announcement follows the band’s successful European summer stadium tour, which included sold-out shows in Paris, London, and Warsaw. The group will also head to South America, Australia and New Zealand in early 2027 before returning to California for the Rose Bowl event.
For now, the Pasadena concert stands as their sole announced North American date for the year.
Pierce the Veil Join the Lineup
Pierce the Veil will bring their high-energy post-hardcore sound to the Rose Bowl as the concert’s special guests. The San Diego trio, featuring Vic Fuentes, Tony Perry and Jaime Preciado, have built a devoted following through their mix of emo, punk, metal and pop influences.
The band have continued to reach new audiences with their emotionally charged songs and energetic performances. Their recently concluded I Can’t Hear You World Tour has included sold-out dates at major venues, including Madison Square Garden, Red Rocks and multiple nights at Los Angeles’ Kia Forum.
‘Toxicity’ Anniversary Adds to the Momentum
The concert announcement also arrives as System of a Down celebrate the 25th anniversary of Toxicity, their landmark 2001 album. The band recently marked the milestone with an exhibition at Beyond the Streets in Los Angeles, featuring rare artifacts and memorabilia from the album’s era.
Since releasing their self-titled debut in 1998, System of a Down have earned a reputation for combining heavy riffs, unpredictable arrangements and politically charged lyrics.
Fans can register for the System of a Down artist presale through Live Nation’s registration page. Registration closes Wednesday, October 21, 2026, at 9 p.m. Pacific Time. The artist presale begins Friday, October 23, at 10 a.m. Pacific Time, while general ticket sales open Monday, October 26, at 10 a.m. Pacific Time.
