Queens of the Stone Age, Courtney Love, Fontaines D.C. share new album updates

Several artists shared album news over the weekend.

Queens of the Stone Age revealed their next record is called Perfecth. In a short Facebook skit, frontman Josh Homme first said the album would arrive Sept. 30, then the clip plays out with dark humor and the date ends up crossed out. A voiceover teases the record is “coming soon sometime.”

Courtney Love says her long-awaited solo album is finished. In an Instagram video she called it “a really good record” and said she put a lot into it. Love also shared that she got very sick on a 2019 trip to England, spent time in hospitals and nearly died, but that she’s healthy now. In the post caption she wrote that she made the album believing it might be her last, so she made the record she always wanted. She thanked friends and collaborators including Billie Joe Armstrong, Michael Stipe and Melissa Auf der Maur for their support.

Irish band Fontaines D.C. announced their next album title: Dopamine Chamber. It follows 2024’s Romance and is due later in 2026. A new song called “Marianne” will premiere Tuesday.
