Ghost Set to Take Over ‘The Tonight Show’ Following Madison Square Garden Performance

Swedish metal giants Ghost are set to appear on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon at 11:35 p.m. ET on July 23. This will be their first late-night TV performance in over ten years. The last time they graced a late-night stage was in 2015 when they performed “Cirice” on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Lead singer Tobias Forge, also known as Papa Emeritus, teased fans on X, saying, “We wish to inform you that Ghost is prepared to put the ROCK in 30 Rock.”

Ghost is riding high on the success of their latest album, Skeletá, which debuted at the top of the charts, selling 86,000 copies in its first week. The band is currently on their U.S. tour, Skeletour, which kicked off in April. They performed at Madison Square Garden just a day before their Tonight Show appearance.

The stage design, created by Tobias Rylander, is a stunning mix of gothic and modern styles. Their massive Grucifix logo hangs above the stage, adding to the dramatic atmosphere. The set also features retro influences from iconic bands like Queen and Van Halen.

Ghost’s tour will make several stops across North America, including Detroit, Nashville, Milwaukee, and Denver, with the finale in Houston on August 16. They will also perform three shows in Mexico City in September.

During their Tonight Show performance, fans can expect to hear one of their latest songs, “Lachryma.” The show promises to be a unique, theatrical experience filled with doom, drama, and Ghost’s signature style. It’s sure to leave a lasting impression on viewers.
