VIDEO: Preserving Ozzy Osbourne Tributes at the Black Sabbath Bridge

After the passing of Ozzy Osbourne, fans left countless flowers and tributes at Black Sabbath Bridge. A local business group is working to preserve and catalog these items for The Osbournes. Central BID Birmingham shared a video showing workers collecting the tributes from the bridge and a nearby mural. The items were then taken to a secure location for sorting and recording in a digital archive. The flowers were transformed into mulch to be used around Ozzy’s burial site at his Buckinghamshire estate.

Ozzy Osbourne was laid to rest on July 31 in a private ceremony. He was buried next to a lake on his property, with around 110 guests in attendance, including his Black Sabbath bandmates Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward. Other rock legends like Elton John, James Hetfield, Yungblud, Marilyn Manson, Zakk Wylde, and Corey Taylor also paid their respects.

The private funeral followed a public procession through Birmingham, where fans gathered to honor Ozzy. The procession included a stop at the Black Sabbath bench on the bridge. The Osbourne family stepped out of the motorcade to view the many tributes left by fans. Video footage captured fans chanting “Ozzy! Ozzy!” as the hearse approached, with his casket visible inside, adorned with purple flowers spelling “Ozzy.”

Sharon Osbourne and her children visited the bench to see the tributes and left their own flowers wrapped in black paper. Before returning to the motorcade, they flashed Ozzy’s signature peace sign to the fans lining the street. It was a heartfelt moment for everyone who loved the legendary rocker.
