The BBC has announced that they are postponing the airing of the Ozzy Osbourne documentary, “Ozzy Osbourne: Coming Home,” just hours before it was scheduled to air. They expressed their support for the Osbourne family during this tough time and stated, “We are respecting the family’s wishes to wait a bit longer before airing this very special film. The new transmission date will be confirmed shortly.”
Originally set to air on August 18, the one-hour documentary focuses on Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne’s move from the U.S. to their home in Buckinghamshire. It also highlights Ozzy’s health challenges and his preparations for his final performance.
The documentary was initially titled “Home to Roost” and was first announced in 2022. However, the focus shifted as Ozzy’s health changed. When the project was about their return to the UK, Sharon shared her thoughts on leaving California after nearly 40 years. She said, “California is not what it once was. It’s not exciting anymore. It’s dangerous here. I don’t feel safe, and neither does Ozzy.”
Ozzy had his own feelings about the move, stating, “To be honest with you, if I had my way, I’d stay in America. I’m American now… I don’t want to go back. F— that.”
Fans are eagerly waiting for the new air date to see this intimate look into the lives of one of rock’s most iconic couples. Stay tuned for updates!
