Slipknot has made headlines by striking a $120 million deal with HarbourView Equity Partners, selling their music rights. This deal includes all publishing and recording rights from their 1999 debut album up to the present. However, the band will keep control over any new music they create in the future.
In addition to the deal, their house in Iowa, famously featured in the “Duality” music video, is set to go up for auction. The band’s newest member, Eloy Casagrande, has hinted that fresh music is on the way. In a recent YouTube interview, he shared, “We are cooking, we are doing some new music, for sure. Since I joined the band, we have been working on some new ideas. We keep exchanging guitar riffs and drum beats, so we are always doing something.”
Slipknot’s last album, *The End So Far*, was released in 2022, and they teased a new single titled “Long May You Die” after Casagrande joined. He took over drumming duties from Jay Weinberg in April 2024. The band previously parted ways with Roadrunner Records in 2022 after releasing hits like “Wait and Bleed,” “Duality,” and “Psychosocial.” By May 2025, guitarist Jim Root had already written six new songs.
There’s also a secret project called *Look Outside Your Window* that’s been in the works. Shawn ‘Clown’ Crahan mentioned, “It was never a Slipknot album. Not while it was happening, not while I’ve held onto it for 10 years, and certainly not when it comes out.” They are currently waiting for their managers to decide on a release date.
Recently, the band celebrated 25 years since their first album with a special reissue that includes new artwork, rare photos, and previously unreleased demos. This edition is now available for fans.
