AC/DC played their final concert of 2025 on December 14 at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane. This show was the second of two dates in Brisbane and wrapped up a month-long Australian tour with nine performances across the country.
The band took the stage at 8 p.m. and kicked off the night with a powerful opening. Guitarist Angus Young rocked his iconic red schoolboy uniform, while vocalist Brian Johnson energized the crowd. “We’re going to play some rock and roll and just have fun,” Johnson said to the audience.
The setlist featured 21 songs, including classics like “Shot Down In Flames,” “Thunderstruck,” “Highway To Hell,” and “Shoot To Thrill.” Five large screens displayed visuals that matched each song, with flames for “Highway To Hell” and thunder for “Thunderstruck.” The band was backed by Stevie Young on guitar, Matt Laug on drums, and Chris Chaney on bass.
During “High Voltage,” Johnson spoke about the impact of Australian rock music around the world. The main set ended with “Let There Be Rock,” but the band returned for an encore, performing “T.N.T” and “For Those About To Rock.”
Opening the show was Melbourne band Amyl & The Sniffers, who delivered a 19-song set starting with a high-energy track. Lead singer Amy Taylor engaged the crowd, while guitarist Declan Mehrtens showcased impressive solos. Brisbane’s Headsend opened the night, receiving strong applause from the audience.
The Power Up world tour has sold between 3.5 and 4 million tickets. Gates opened at 5 p.m., with Headsend starting at 5:40 p.m. and Amyl & The Sniffers at 6:30 p.m. The stadium curfew was set for 10:30 p.m. TransLink provided free public transport starting at noon on show days, making it easy for fans to attend. An official merch store in Milton remained open until December 18.
