Super Bowl Commercials Showcase Iconic Classic Rock Hits from Queen, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Lou Reed

Get ready for a rock-filled Super Bowl in 2026! At least 10 commercials will feature classic tracks from rock’s golden era. Big names like Pepsi, Budweiser, and Absolut have secured rights to songs from legends like Queen, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Lou Reed. This year’s Super Bowl will be held at the San Francisco 49ers’ home field, and Puerto Rican pop star Bad Bunny will headline the halftime show.

Pepsi is using Queen’s “I Want to Break Free” for its ad, featuring polar bears that have long been linked to Coca-Cola. This is a bold choice for the soda giant. Budweiser has a heartwarming story with Lynyrd Skynyrd’s music, showing a Clydesdale horse adopting a baby bird. As the anthem builds, viewers will see the little bird learning to fly.

Absolut is using Lou Reed’s music for its campaign featuring Tobasco vodka. Michelob Ultra has chosen Survivor’s “Eye of the Tiger” for a ski-themed ad starring Kurt Russell, who coaches a nervous skier down steep slopes. Hellmann’s Mayonnaise introduces a new character named Meal Diamond, played by Andy Samberg. He performs a funny take on Neil Diamond while singing sandwich ballads to restaurant guests. Hellmann’s is teaming up with Jimmy John’s to offer a Meal Diamond Meal in stores nationwide.

Other rock tracks making an appearance include Blondie’s music in a Supergirl movie preview, Elvis Presley’s “Suspicious Minds” for Uber Eats, and a Beatles song for Starbucks. Bud Light will tease a spot featuring Limp Bizkit with retired quarterback Peyton Manning and rapper Post Malone. State Farm has multiple ads with Danny McBride and Keegan-Michael Key, who hilariously attempt to start their own insurance business while singing Bon Jovi’s hits. It’s shaping up to be an unforgettable Super Bowl!
