The Courtney Love documentary *Antiheroine* was shown at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival, but it wasn’t the final version. Jonathan Daniel, Love’s manager, explained that the cut screened at Sundance was just the first edit. He said, “We were surprised and flattered that they wanted to show it, so we approved it even though it wasn’t finished.”
Daniel’s comments come after reports that Love is unhappy with the film and wants to make changes. He added, “Courtney will always be unfiltered and may speak out of turn, but I can assure you she’s dedicated to finishing the doc and promoting it when it’s ready.”
*Antiheroine*, announced in December, includes interviews with Love and her Hole bandmates Melissa Auf der Maur, Eric Erlandson, and Patty Schemel, along with Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong and R.E.M.’s Michael Stipe. The documentary highlights Love’s impact on rock and pop culture. Now sober and set to release new music for the first time in over a decade, Courtney is ready to share her story, unfiltered and unapologetic.
Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting project!
