Iron Maiden’s manager, Rod Smallwood, has shared his thoughts on the band’s induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as part of the 2026 class. He expressed gratitude, saying, “We’d like to thank the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame for including us and our former members in this year’s inductees.” Smallwood emphasized that Iron Maiden values its relationship with fans above all else, but added, “It’s always nice to be recognized and honored for any achievements within the music industry too!”
He noted that the induction is especially fitting as the band celebrates its 50th anniversary with the Run For Your Lives World Tour, which is set to visit the Americas and beyond. Smallwood also congratulated the other inductees and thanked fans for their loyalty and support over the past 50 years. “See you all, somewhere on tour,” he said.
This marks Iron Maiden’s third nomination for the Rock Hall, and in the past, some band members have been skeptical about the honor. Frontman Bruce Dickinson once stated, “I don’t want to be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame! Because we’re not dead yet!”
The induction ceremony will take place on November 14 in Los Angeles and will air on ABC, with streaming available on Disney+ in December.
