Turnstile kicks off Coachella performance with video message from Brendan Yates’ dad

Turnstile kicked off their Coachella set on April 10, 2026, with a heartfelt video from Brendan Yates’ father, William Yates. This performance marked the band’s first live show since their former guitarist, Brady Ebert, was arrested for attempted murder after allegedly hitting William with a car.

In the video, William Yates introduced himself, saying, “I’m Bill Yates, I’m the proud father of Brendan. They’re all sons of mine,” referring to the other members of Turnstile. He also shared a message for fans, saying, “To all of the fans out there, we love you and Turnstile loves you. Enjoy the ride.”

Following the incident, Turnstile released a statement confirming that William survived and had successful surgery. They expressed their hopes for his full recovery. Ebert, a founding member of the band, left Turnstile in 2022.

The performance at Coachella was a significant moment for the band and their fans, showcasing their resilience during a challenging time.
