Announced: 20th anniversary reissue of Motörhead’s ‘Kiss of Death’ album

Motörhead is celebrating the 20th anniversary of their 2006 album, Kiss of Death, with a special reissue. The new package will be available in two-CD and two-LP sets starting July 3. It features audio that has been half-speed mastered from the original tapes, along with a bonus live recording of their 2007 performance at the Lowlands Festival in the Netherlands. Fans can also check out a new lyric video for the song “God Was Never on Your Side,” which is now streaming on YouTube.

Kiss of Death was Motörhead’s 18th studio album and included contributions from Alice in Chains bassist Mike Inez and Poison guitarist C.C. DeVille. The band disbanded in 2015 after the passing of frontman Lemmy Kilmister, but they continue to release archival projects. Sadly, longtime guitarist Phil Campbell, who had been with the band since 1984, passed away in March.
