Anthrax reveals information about their upcoming album ‘Cursum Perficio’, which is their first record in a decade.

Anthrax has announced their new album, “Cursum Perficio,” which will be their first release in 10 years. The album is set to drop on September 18 and is the long-awaited follow-up to 2016’s “For All Kings.” The title, which means “My journey has come to an end” in Latin, reflects the band’s experience during the album’s creation.

Guitarist Scott Ian shared that the journey to complete this album was significant. “We were supposed to make this in 2020, but the universe had other plans for everyone,” he said. After the pandemic, the band was excited to reunite and start working on new music. Ian described the experience as “like being reborn,” with all the energy and emotions from their time apart infused into the songs.

The first single from “Cursum Perficio” is “It’s for the Kids,” which is available now along with a music video on YouTube. The full tracklist for the album includes:

1. Persistence of Memory
2. The Long Goodbye
3. It’s for the Kids
4. Everybody’s Got a Plan
5. The Edge of Perfection
6. Infectious
7. NYC93
8. Cursum Perficio
9. T.O.M.B
10. Watch It Go
11. My Victory
