Billie Eilish is gearing up for the release of her concert movie, “Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour (Live in 3D).” But that’s not all she’s up to. On her Instagram Story, she invited fans to ask her questions. When one fan inquired if she was working on new music, Billie responded with a simple “Oh yes,” along with a photo of her recording studio setup. She covered parts of the image, likely to keep some details under wraps.
Another fan asked about her current music favorites, and Billie shared a screenshot of her playlist. It features albums like “The Kick Inside” by Kate Bush and the “Saturday Night Fever” soundtrack. Interestingly, in her cover story for ELLE, Billie revealed that her most listened-to artist on Spotify is herself. She topped her own Spotify Wrapped, saying, “My friends make fun of me. I’m sorry, I make the music I want to listen to.”
While she didn’t confirm reports about making her acting debut in an adaptation of Sylvia Plath’s “The Bell Jar,” she expressed interest in acting. “Writing and directing a film is so much work. I don’t know if that’ll ever be a thing that I do, but the acting side is what I’m really interested in. We’ll see where that takes us,” she said.
Regarding her 3D film, which she co-directed with James Cameron, Billie shared her excitement. “Capturing a show that I can watch when I’m old and feel like I’m there again … it gives me chills. And I’m so grateful that it’s going to live forever.” Notably, ELLE mentioned Nat Wolff, one of her opening acts on the tour, as her “partner.
