Limp Bizkit is back on the road, headlining a string of U.S. summer festivals that starts Friday at Wisconsin Rock Fest. The band’s renewed energy has kept fans coming, especially after their viral 2021 Lollapalooza set.
Guitarist Wes Borland says his wife summed up their vibe: they’re having fun again. Years of ups and downs taught them not to sweat every problem. “You have enough bad shows or things go south enough times where it doesn’t really bother you anymore,” he says. If a guitar rig fails, he shrugs and moves on.
But the band still cares about the show. Borland spent the first part of the year designing new stage costumes. And they’re loving the chance to play tracks like “Break Stuff,” which he calls “the world’s most dangerous song.” Fans go wild when it comes out, he says.
After Rock Fest, Limp Bizkit will headline the Summer of ’99 and Beyond Festival Saturday and Inkcarceration on Sunday. They also have headlining slots at Louder Than Life in September and Aftershock in October.
