Rostam, a former member of Vampire Weekend, has just released a new song titled “Back of a Truck.” This track will be part of his upcoming album, American Stories. In a statement, Rostam explained that the song captures the feeling of remembering someone from the past. He describes how certain moments, like hearing a song on the radio or catching a familiar scent, can bring back memories, leading to a smile and a wish for their well-being.

There will also be a special film, American Stories: A Concert Film, which will be shown in New York City on May 5 and in Los Angeles on May 11. Both screenings will include a Q&A session with Rostam.
Rostam was part of Vampire Weekend for their first three albums before leaving the band in 2016. In addition to his solo work, he has produced albums for artists like HAIM and Clairo, who will also feature on American Stories.
