Skindred’s new album, *You Got This*, has made a big splash by debuting at #1 on the U.K. Official Albums Chart. This marks the first time the Welsh band has reached the top spot. The band expressed their gratitude for the incredible support from fans, saying, “All of us in the band are absolutely blown away by the amazing reaction to our new album.” They thanked everyone who bought a copy, especially those in the rock and metal communities.
The title track, *You Got This*, carries a positive message aimed at those facing tough times or struggling with mental health. Skindred hopes to inspire young bands and artists to keep pushing forward. They noted, “To be the first Welsh Ragga Metal Punk band from Newport to hit Number 1 really is a special moment. It really is a Fairytale of Newport.”
*You Got This* was released on April 17, and its title track has also made it onto the Billboard Mainstream Rock Airplay chart.
