Sublime’s 1996 self-titled album is now certified Diamond. The RIAA says the record has surpassed 10 million units.
That album gave us the hits “Santeria,” “What I Got,” “Wrong Way” and “Doin’ Time.” It was the band’s last release with frontman Bradley Nowell, who died months before the album came out.
The group later formed Sublime with Rome and released more music. The original Sublime remained inactive until 2023, when Bradley’s son Jakob Nowell took over vocals and guitar. With Jakob, Sublime released Until the Sun Explodes in June — their first new album in 30 years.
Sublime will play New York City’s Central Park on Aug. 14 as part of Good Morning America’s Summer Concert series.
