Shinedown is back on tour with their “Dance, Kid, Dance Act II” tour. Brent Smith, the lead singer, shared that they decided to keep the same staging from their previous tour instead of changing everything. The first run of “Dance, Kid, Dance” included a memorable show at Madison Square Garden in New York City, which was special for Smith because his mother attended before she passed away in January 2026.
Smith recalled how his mother, who was on dialysis at the time, insisted on going to New York City to see him perform. Her doctor agreed, and it meant a lot to Smith and the band to have her in the audience. He said, “All the boys in the band, they were her boys, too,” expressing his gratitude that she could experience that moment. Smith added, “She had a ball. She had the time of her life.”
Fans can look forward to Shinedown’s new album, EI8HT, set to release on May 29.
