Thrice Announces New Album ‘Horizons/West’ and Confirms 2025 North American Tour Dates

Thrice is set to release their 12th album, *Horizons/West*, on October 3 through Epitaph Records. The band will kick off a North American tour with 29 shows starting October 17.

Vocalist Dustin Kensrue shared that this album feels like a direct continuation of their 2021 record, *Horizons/East*. The band recorded 11 new tracks at New Grass Studios, with Scott Evans handling the mixing and Matthew J. Barnhart mastering the final product. Evans also worked on Thrice’s 2023 album, *The Artist in the Ambulance (Revisited)*. The new songs include “Blackout,” “Gnash,” “Albatross,” “Undertow,” “Holding On,” “Dusk,” “The Dark Glow,” “Crooked Shadows,” “Distant Suns,” “Vesper Light,” and “Unitive/West.” The single “Gnash” is already available for fans to enjoy.

Kensrue explained that much of the album explores the idea of reality and how we are influenced by algorithms, fear, and social echo chambers. *Horizons/West* aims to shed light on these themes. The music features post-rock elements and intricate rhythms, reflecting the band’s desire to keep growing and creating honest art.

The tour will begin at San Diego’s Observatory NP and will hit major cities like New York, Toronto, Montreal, and Chicago. It will wrap up with two shows at House of Blues Anaheim on November 23 and 25. Canadian dates have generated a lot of excitement, with the Montreal show selling out quickly.

Tickets are on sale now, and fans can also grab vinyl copies and merchandise bundles. VIP upgrades are available for many shows, offering perks like two acoustic songs, early entry, a signed poster, and a Q&A session with the band.
