In a surprising turn of events, Foo Fighters and Nine Inch Nails have swapped drummers. Ilan Rubin is now the drummer for Foo Fighters. He has been the touring drummer for Nine Inch Nails since 2009 and was part of their Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction in 2020.
Taking over for Rubin in Nine Inch Nails is Josh Freese, who drummed for Foo Fighters for the past two years. Freese made headlines when he was unexpectedly let go from Foo Fighters.
Foo Fighters have been keeping a low profile lately, but they have a few shows lined up in October and November. One of their performances is scheduled for October 4. On the other hand, Nine Inch Nails is currently on a short break during their tour, which will resume on August 6 in Oakland, California.
