Guns N’ Roses is reissuing their classic live album, Live Era ’87-’93, on vinyl. This album, first released in 1999, features over two hours of concert recordings from the band’s early years. It includes nearly two dozen tracks recorded between 1987 and 1993, showcasing the band’s evolution from their debut album, Appetite for Destruction, to their covers album, The Spaghetti Incident?
Fans can expect to hear iconic songs like “Sweet Child O’ Mine,” “Welcome to the Jungle,” “November Rain,” and “Paradise City.” The album also features a memorable version of “Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door” from the 1992 Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert, along with a cover of Black Sabbath’s “It’s Alright.”
This reissue has been remastered from the original stereo analog master tapes for the first time in 26 years and is pressed on 180-gram black vinyl. The packaging has been updated with vibrant graphics and now comes in a two-gatefold jacket inside a slipcase, complete with a poster.
Guns N’ Roses changed the face of hard rock with their unique blend of arena rock, punk attitude, and heavy metal energy. Live Era captures the band at their best. Slash once described the album as “as honest as it gets,” and it truly reflects the excitement that made Guns N’ Roses one of the most thrilling bands in the world.
