Former Metallica bassist Jason Newsted has unboxed the band’s upcoming deluxe reissue of the album *Reload* in a new video. The 13-minute clip shows Newsted revealing the contents of the box set, which includes five vinyl LPs featuring the remastered *Reload* and the *Ministry of Sound ’97* live album. Fans will also find a bonus 7-inch vinyl single, 15 CDs, and four DVDs inside.
In addition to the music, the box set comes with posters, stickers, lyric sheets, and a 128-page photo book, along with other memorabilia. *Reload* was first released in 1997 and was the last album featuring Newsted before he left the band in 2001. The reissue is set to be released on June 26.
Newsted recently revealed that he underwent surgery in 2025 to remove throat cancer, but he is now “free and clear.
