Skid Row’s Rachel Bolan has shared an update on the search for a new lead singer. “We received over 320, maybe 350 submissions,” Bolan said. “We’re still looking at more candidates, but we have a few people lined up to come in and jam with us.” He emphasized the importance of finding the right fit for the band.
Bolan mentioned that they thought they might have found that person in Lzzy Hale, the frontwoman of Halestorm, who performed with Skid Row after the departure of their previous singer, Grönwall. “Before her last show with us, I hinted that I would ask her about joining,” Bolan recalled. “She knew what I was getting at. It would be great if she could balance both bands, but she’s really busy with Halestorm.”
Some fans have suggested reuniting with Sebastian Bach, the band’s original singer who left in 1996. Bolan responded, “If we wanted to do that, we would have already.”
While the search for a new singer continues, Bolan is also gearing up to release his debut solo album, “Gargoyle of the Garden State,” on June 12.
