Lykke Li has just released a new song called “Happy Now” from her upcoming album, The Afterparty. She describes the track as a mix of ABBA and The Prodigy, saying it feels like “a baby that won’t stop crying.” The song captures the feeling of an “unanswered prayer on a dancefloor,” with the line “God isn’t picking up.”
The Afterparty is set to drop this Friday and follows her 2022 album, EYEYE. The new album will also feature previously released tracks like “Lucky Again,” “Sick of Love,” and “Knife in the Heart.
