Foo Fighters recently appeared on the latest episode of Hot Ones Versus. In this fun spinoff series, contestants answer personal questions, but if they refuse, they have to eat a spicy Wing of Death. The winner is the one who eats the fewest wings and takes home the chicken wing trophy.
Most of the band members chose to be honest, likely to avoid the fiery wings. Dave Grohl picked the “cringiest” lyric from their song “DOA”: “It’s a shame we have to die, my dear/ No one’s getting out of here alive.” He called it “so f stupid.” Keyboardist Rami Jaffee, on the other hand, opted to eat a wing instead of dropping one of their hit songs: “Everlong,” “Learn to Fly,” “Best of You,” or “All My Life.” The contest ended with a game of musical chairs, which guitarist Chris Shiflett won.
Grohl had previously been on the original Hot Ones in 2022, calling it a bucket-list moment, similar to his first performances on Saturday Night Live and David Letterman’s show.
In other news, Foo Fighters will release the video for “Of All People,” a track from their new album, Your Favorite Toy, on Wednesday at 9 a.m. ET. A preview shows people trying to ski in unusual locations. The band will also kick off a North American stadium tour in support of the album this August.
