Two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Kyle Busch has passed away at the age of 41. His family, NASCAR, and Richard Childress Racing shared the sad news on Thursday evening. NASCAR expressed their heartbreak, calling Kyle a future Hall of Famer and a rare talent. They highlighted his fierce passion for racing and his deep connection with fans, creating a loyal following known as “Rowdy Nation.”

Kyle had a remarkable career that lasted over two decades. He set records for national series wins, claimed championships in NASCAR’s top series, and helped develop young drivers as a team owner in the Truck Series. His sharp wit and competitive nature made him a beloved figure among fans of all ages.

The racing community is mourning the loss of a true giant. NASCAR extended their thoughts to Kyle’s wife Samantha, their children Brexton and Lennix, and his parents, as well as everyone at Richard Childress Racing and his friends and fans. They also requested privacy for the family during this difficult time.

Earlier on Thursday, it was reported that Busch had been hospitalized due to a severe illness. He had raced at Watkins Glen on May 10 and mentioned needing medical attention afterward. The connection between his recent illness and his passing is still unclear.

Kyle Busch leaves behind a legacy of 63 NASCAR Cup Series wins, ranking ninth all-time, along with 102 Xfinity Series wins and 69 Craftsman Truck Series wins, both of which are records. He is survived by his wife and two young children.
