Eric Kupper, Jax Jones Put New Remix Spin On Diana Ross’ ‘Thank You’

Two remixes of Diana Ross’ current single “Thank You” have today (3) been released, featuring new versions overseen by Eric Kupper and Jax Jones.

Kupper, the American DJ, producer, arranger, writer, and remixer, has had great success with his mixes of Ross’ work in recent years, including those for “Love Hangover” and “I’m Coming Out’/Upside Down 2018.” The “Love Hangover 2020” mix became the entertainer’s fourth No.1 remix in a row on Billboard’s Dance Club Songs chart, all with songs that were No. 1 dance hits in their original versions. They led to the May 2020 digital release of the Supertonic remix collection.

Jones, whose real name is Timucin Lam, is the British DJ and remixer who came to prominence when he featured on Duke Dumont’s UK No.1 hit in 2014, “I Got U.” His own album Snacks (Supersize) was released in 2019 and in addition to his own tracks as lead or featured artist, he has remixed for other such artists as Paloma Faith, Ellie Goulding, Missy Elliott, and Dua Lipa.

Says Jones: “Diana has played such a big part of my music education, from listening to her growing up, to the influence she’s had on other legends I’ve looked up to. You can hear references to her everywhere, and so I was hyped to be able to contribute to her latest record after 15 years away. It’s such an uplifting track, bringing people together with some of that joy that we’ve all been missing!”

“Thank You” is the lead song and opening track from the superstar’s upcoming 25th solo album, which will be released on September 10. Recorded at her home studio during lockdown, it’s her first studio set since the covers album I Love You in 2006 and first of new material since Every Day Is A New Day in 1999. Ross co-wrote the song with Amy Wadge, Christian Paul Wossilek, Nathaniel Ledwidge, and Troy Miller.

Pre-order the Thank You album, which is released on September 10.
