The Megadeth frontman will host events in New York City, Boston, and Manassas to support ‘In My Darkest Hour.’
Megadeth frontman Dave Mustaine has announced a three-city book tour to support his upcoming memoir, In My Darkest Hour. Co-written with Joe Layden, the book is scheduled for release on September 8 through Da Capo, an imprint of Grand Central Publishing and Hachette Book Group. The memoir focuses on Mustaine’s battle with cancer, including his radiation and chemotherapy treatments, while also covering his family, faith, and music career. The scheduled stops align with Megadeth’s current run supporting Iron Maiden on the Run For Your Lives World Tour 2026.
The book tour begins on publication day, September 8, at the Kaufman Music Center in New York City for an event presented by The Strand and moderated by Rolling Stone’s Kory Grow, which includes a fan Q&A and a signed book. Mustaine will then hold meet-and-greet photo opportunities where fans receive pre-signed books on September 9 at Parkside Bookshop in Boston and on September 10 at Barnes & Noble in Manassas, Virginia.
