Large Mirage Announces ‘Watching’ Tour With Rock the Boat Cruise 2026 Kickoff

Australian rock band Large Mirage has announced a tour and a new single, “Watching.” The run kicks off Oct. 25 aboard the sold-out Rock the Boat Cruise 2026. The single is the second release from the band’s upcoming EP Wildfire, expected in 2027.

The cruise sails from Sydney to Nouméa between Oct. 25 and Nov. 1. Kings of Chaos play too, as well as members and alumni of ZZ Top, Bon Jovi, Cheap Trick, Guns N’ Roses, The Cult, and Megadeth.

Then come several Australian headline shows.

Scotland is on the calendar as well. The band plans to play Bonfest in Kirriemuir on April 30, 2027, a yearly event that honors AC/DC singer Bon Scott in his hometown. This marks the 21st edition.

“Watching” deals with technology, social media, and the creepy feeling of being watched. Kolya Chan explained the title in a statement, as quoted by 100% Rock Magazine:

“WATCHING is what we used to do when we had time on our wrists. Devices replace real time-keepers and are selling and telling us how to become our future selves, watching us and tracking virtual approval from virtual friends, propelling us, towards virtual futures, and the underlying fear of losing it all in one wrong virtual move,” Kolya Chan said.

The band recorded the song live, with no click tracks or samples. Michael Badger produced it, and his past work includes King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, Amyl & The Sniffers, and Full Flower Moon Band.

Large Mirage has opened for AC/DC at Accor Stadium in Sydney and for TISM at PICA. The band has played festivals as a discovery act and headlined shows in Sydney and Melbourne.

“Watching” is out now on streaming services. Tickets are on sale at largemirage.com.
