The third annual Bon Scott Birthday Bash is set for July 9 at The Cutting Room in New York City. This year marks what would have been the original AC/DC frontman’s 80th birthday. The event is the only U.S. tribute authorized by the Bon Scott Estate.
Performers include Corey Glover from Living Colour, Steve Brown from Trixter, and former American Idol finalist Constantine Maroulis, among others. Attendees can also check out a pop-up gallery from Morrison Hotel Gallery, showcasing never-before-seen photos of Bon Scott by rock photographer Steve Joester.
Tickets for the bash are available now. Earlier this month, Bon’s birthday was celebrated at the 20th anniversary of Bonfest: The International Bon Scott Rock Festival, which took place on May 1-2 in Kirriemuir, Scotland. Bon Scott was born on July 6, 1946, and he passed away on February 19, 1980, at the age of 33.
