Pennsylvania: Farmer’s Almanac Issues Summer Forecast

Summer is an exciting time filled with barbecues, pool parties, and beach days. However, outdoor plans often depend on the weather. So, what can we expect for this summer?

The summer forecast for 2026 predicts a hotter-than-normal season across the United States. Experts say temperatures will be above average in many areas, while rainfall will vary by region. Some places will be drier, but others, like parts of the Heartland and Gulf Coast, may see more rain.

Keep in mind that these predictions are for the entire season, not daily forecasts. Local weather can differ, and even if summer is expected to be hot, you might still experience some cool nights. Interestingly, the upper Midwest and Heartland could have cooler weather or mixed patterns this summer, but don’t worry—there won’t be any July snowstorms!

In Pennsylvania, most of the state is expected to have a “cool and dry” summer. However, around Philadelphia, it looks like it will be “hot and dry.”

With a long history of weather predictions dating back to 1792, the Farmer’s Almanac has built a solid reputation. So, as you plan your summer activities, keep these forecasts in mind and enjoy the season!
