Violet Grohl is ready to make her mark in the music world with her debut album, *Be Sweet to Me*, set to release on May 29. As the daughter of rock legend Dave Grohl, she knows her last name opens doors for her. “I’m not going to hide from it,” she told The Forty-Five. “I don’t care if people call me a Nepo Baby. It’s whatever to me.”
Violet has been hearing comments about her family connections since she was 13. She hopes that people will eventually give her a chance based on her music. “If you doubt my talent, just listen to my album or come see me perform live,” she says. “Then you can decide if I deserve this career.”
Fans can catch Violet live at England’s Reading & Leeds Festival in August and at the Shaky Knees Festival in Atlanta in September. With her upcoming album and performances, she’s excited to show the world what she can do.
