Ghost performed their song “Lachryma” on The Tonight Show on July 23, marking their first U.S. TV appearance since 2015. This performance followed their sold-out show at Madison Square Garden. During the performance, frontman Papa V Perpetua paid tribute to the late Ozzy Osbourne, who recently passed away at 76. He said, “We’re gonna dedicate tonight’s show to the memory of the life and laughter of Ozzy Osbourne. For being the Prince of Darkness, he sure gave us a lot of light.”
Ghost’s latest album, “Skeletá,” debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s charts, selling 86,000 units in its first week. This makes it the first hard rock album to reach the top spot since AC/DC’s “Power Up” in 2020.
The band’s current tour kicked off in Baltimore on July 9 and will wrap up on August 16 in Houston. Their stage design features a mix of dark church aesthetics and stark concrete shapes. At their last concert, Papa V Perpetua performed “Bark At The Moon” alongside Travis Barker from Blink-182 on drums, with Vernon Reid and Nuno Bettencourt on guitar.
Tonight, Ghost will perform at Detroit’s Little Caesars Arena. Like other stops on this tour, phones will be kept in special pouches to create a tech-free environment. Fans can grab Ghost’s new album from various music outlets. Keep an eye out for more updates as the tour continues!
