Pantera Delivers Pure Carnage at Hershey Park Stadium

Holy hell, what a night! Pantera’s return to Hershey Park Stadium as part of “The Heaviest Tour of the Summer” was nothing short of spectacular, proving once again why they remain the undisputed kings of groove metal. With Amon Amarth and Shock Narcotic in tow, this triple threat delivered an evening of pure sonic devastation.

Shock Narcotic opened the festivities with their signature blend of industrial-tinged metal, warming up the packed stadium crowd with crushing riffs and commanding stage presence. Their aggressive set perfectly primed the audience for the brutality that was to follow.

Swedish metal legends Amon Amarth took the stage next, transforming Hershey into a Viking battlefield. Johan Hegg’s commanding vocals and the band’s melodic death metal assault had the entire stadium chanting along to classics like “Death In Fire” and “Without Fear.” Their theatrical performance, complete with Viking imagery and thunderous double bass, created an epic atmosphere that had fans raising their fists to Valhalla.

But when Pantera finally emerged, the stadium absolutely erupted. The setlist was a masterclass in heavy metal perfection, featuring classics like “Walk,” “Cowboys From Hell,” and a blistering “Cemetery Gates” with Phil Anselmo playing guitar solo on Dime’s original Dean from Hell – a moment that sent chills down every metalhead’s spine.

The reformed lineup of Phil Anselmo, Rex Brown, Zakk Wylde, and Charlie Benante has found their groove, delivering the songs with the ferocity and precision that made Pantera legends. Anselmo’s vocals were in top form, channeling all the rage and passion that defined the band’s golden era. Wylde’s guitar work paid perfect homage to Dimebag’s legacy while adding his own flair, while the rhythm section of Brown and Benante provided that signature Pantera groove that had the entire crowd moving as one crushing mass.

The crowd energy was absolutely insane – from the opening riff to the final note, Hershey Park Stadium was a sea of headbanging maniacs completely lost in the music. Pantera proved they’re not just a nostalgia act; they’re a vital force keeping heavy metal’s flame burning bright. This was metal at its most pure and powerful – an unforgettable night that reminded everyone why Pantera will forever reign supreme.
